Do I get cashback if I return something?

No. You don't get cashback on an item you return, because the shop makes no sale on it and so doesn't pay us any commission either.

How this shows in your dashboard

If you return part of your order, your cashback is only worked out on the part you kept in the end. If you return everything, the cashback lapses and the transaction is marked "Declined".

If this happens after the amount had already been approved, it can still be reversed afterwards. That is also why there is a validation period: it covers the shop's return period, so that we don't pay out anything that later has to be reversed.

Exchanges

If you exchange an item for another one at the same price, most shops treat this as a return plus a new order. That new order doesn't go through our link, so there is no cashback on it.
